Tyler Dorsey seemed to be at the exit door of Fenerbahce with Olympiacos and Panathinaikos following his case, however, at this point, the Greek-American guard is expected to stay in Istanbul.
With a contract in place and his undeniable shooting ability, Dorsey remains an asset for Fenerbahce which officially always denied that there’s a possibility of parting ways with him.
Still, Olympiacos and Panathinaikos in need of Greek passports knocked on the door of the Turkish club for the player and tried to negotiate a buyout.
There’s not an opt-out clause outside the NBA in the contract and the asking price from Fenerbahce was higher than the fixed NBA buyout, making the talks almost impossible to even start.
Fenerbahce is keeping Dorsey unless someone wants to pay up upsert amounts of money and despite the rumors about the opposite even in the case of Nick Calathes, there’s a strong possibility of him staying in Istanbul for next season.
However, between Dorsey and Calathes, it seems more possible for Calathes to change teams in the near future.
