After saying goodbye to Sasha Vezenkov, who has jumped into the NBA with the Sacramento Kings, Olympiacos has now found his replacement: Luke Sikma, in fact, has signed a 1+1 deal with the Greek powerhouse.

The deal was made official on Thursday.

According to Eurohoops’ own Vangelis Ioannou, he will earn 750.000 euros, and the American power forward becomes now the third addition to the red-and-white summer after Nikola Milutinov and Nigel Williams-Goss.

Putting up 7.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 22:28 minutes of playing time over a total of 33 appearances in the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, the soon-to-be 34-year-old stepped up to 9.0 points with 4.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in the Bundesliga, losing in the First Round of the Playoffs.

The Portland Pilots product, after coming out of college in 2011, instantly moved to Spain to join LEB Oro’s La Palma. Then, he went on to represent Atapuerca Burgos, Tenerife, and Valencia, winning the ACB League. Joining ALBA Berlin in 2017, he won the EuroCup being named 2018-19 MVP.
