One Serbian goes, and one Serbian comes. That’s how it’s going in Bologna: after Milos Teodosic’s departure to Crvena Zvezda, coming back to his native country after 17 years, now Virtus officially announced the arrival of Ognjen Dobric from the same red-and-white club.
In the 2022-23 EuroLeague season, he posted 9.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.5 steals per game, trying to push his side to the post-season as Crvena Zvezda finished with a 17-17 W-L tally, two games short of clinching a berth in the Playoffs.
The 28-year-old Serbian small forward, who has always been with Crvena Zvezda, started his professional career in 2013 with FMP Beograd, coming back to the senior red-and-white team in 2016 to spend seven more years with his beloved club.
After Achille Polonara, Devontae Cacok, and Bruno Mascolo, Ognjen Dobric is the fourth addition of the summer for Sergio Scariolo’s team. The deal between the Serbian sharpshooter and the black-and-white Italian team was first reported on June 16 by Moshe Barda and confirmed by Eurohoops sources.
