Milan has already seen several moves during his summer transfer market, and the incorporation of the 29-year-old half-American and half-Ivorian big Alex Poythress could be the latest one. As first reported by Moshe Barda and confirmed by Eurohoops Maccabi Tel Aviv’s own may be on the move.
Missing a large part of the 2022-23 season, Alex Poythress started it pretty well, averaging 7.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 16 total appearances under Oded Kattash with the yellow-and-blue Israeli powerhouse.
Undrafted in 2016, he debuted professionally with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the G-League, earning contracts with the Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers, and Atlanta Hawks. He moved to Europe in 2019 with Galatasaray, going on to play for Zenit Saint Petersburg and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
After welcoming back Giordano Bortolani and signing Guglielmo Caruso, Alex Poythress may join Ismael Kamagate and Maodo Lo as the newest additions to Ettore Messina’s team. Brandon Davies and Shabazz Napier, among others, already left to respectively sign for Valencia and Crvena Zvezda.
