After making its offer official on July 11, Valencia Basket has now officially secured the addition of Kassius Robertson. Obradoiro, who had the Tanteo rights of the Canadian player, didn’t match the offer, letting his leader have the opportunity to debut in next year’s EuroLeague.
The 29-year-old, who started the 2022-23 season in Italy with Basketball Champions League participant Reggio Emilia, moved to Obradoiro to turn into the ACB leading scorer, averaging 17.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He had a losing effort of 44 points against Baskonia.
During his five-year professional career so far, the Canadian guard played three times with Obradoiro, spending moments in between with other teams like Fortitudo Bologna and Niagara River Lions. In 2018, he started his overseas adventure with Bayreuth after going out of college with the Missouri Tigers.
