Real Madrid and Facundo Campazzo have reached an agreement, ensuring the player’s attachment to the club for the next four seasons, up until June 30, 2027.
Eurohoops’ previous report on a 9,000,000 euros gross three-year deal aligns with the reports from Spain, stating that Campazzo’s contract is worth 12,000,000 gross for the entire four years. It’s also worth mentioning Argentinian player still has a certain part of his NBA buyout to pay to Real Madrid. He will have the opportunity to settle the remaining amount over the course of the next four years.
“Campazzo, returning for his second spell at Real Madrid, holds an impressive record with the club, boasting 11 titles, including two EuroLeagues, three ACB Leagues, two Copa del Reys, and four Spanish Super Cups.
Individually, while defending the Real Madrid jersey, Campazzo’s talent has been recognized with several accolades. He has been chosen twice in the ideal five of the ACB League (2018-19 and 2019-20), earned the ACB Finals MVP in 2018-2019, secured the MVP of the Super Cup twice (in 2019 and 2020), and also clinched the MVP title of the Copa del Rey in 2020.
As he embarks on his sixth season with Real Madrid, Facundo Campazzo has already been an integral part of one of the most successful periods in the club’s history“, as per official release.
In December 2022, the Argentinian player made his return to Europe by joining Crvena Zvezda, following a two-season stint in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets and a short spell with the Dallas Mavericks last year.
Despite facing a transfer ban on Red Star, he made an impact in the EuroLeague, averaging 15.0 points, 5.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.9 steals over just nine games played from March 2023.
In the ABA League, Campazzo displayed his skills, recording an average of 13.0 points, 6.5 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 steals in 24 appearances.
