Two years after leaving Pau-Lacq-Orthez, the 27-year-old French power forward Petr Cornelie comes back to the LNB to sign a three-year deal with AS Monaco officially.
“Honestly, this choice was obvious to me. Whether it’s with the title and the Final Four, it’s beautiful to see. I come to Monaco with the ambition of going for the Euroleague”, he said through the club’s official website.
In his first-ever season with Real Madrid, he averaged 5.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and a 6.7 PIR in 14:33 minutes across 33 EuroLeague appearances. He shot 71.4% on two-pointers and 39.5% from behind the arc.
Before winning the 2023 EuroLeague with the Spanish club, he spent one year between the Denver Nuggets and the Grand Rapids Gold, between NBA and G-League.
