Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that the club parted ways with center Alex Poythress. The 29-year-old American big man was signed to a two-year deal in 2022 but is leaving the Yellows after one season.
Olimpia Milano is a team that has been in talks with Poythress, as Eurohoops has reported.
Poythress averaged 7.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 22:19 minutes during the 2022-23 EuroLeague. He played just 16 games overall due to a wrist surgery in December that forced him to miss the remainder of the regular season in EuroLeague.
Before he joined Maccabi, Poythress debuted in EuroLeague with Zenit St. Petersburg. He previously played for Galatasaray while participating in 53 games in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks.
