Olympiacos is gearing up for the forthcoming “Night of the Legend,” a celebration dedicated to Vasilis Spanoulis, with a host of surprises in the works. Among these is a specially crafted jersey designed to pay homage to their esteemed former player.
According to an official announcement from the club, Olympiacos‘ players will don this unique jersey exclusively for the match slated on September 17 against Olimpia Milano.
“Olympiacos will honor the living history of the club, and on this celebration, everything will be special, just as Vassilis Spanoulis was special in his career.
GSA Sports and Olympiacos designed and prepared the jersey that will be worn by Giorgos Bartzokas’ players on that particular day, only for the friendly match against Olympia Milano.
Adorned with 11 red stripes, symbolizing Spanoulis’ years at Olympiakos, along with gold details to underscore his greatness as an athlete and the nickname “V Span” written on the white stripes, the jersey that the “red and white” team will wear on September 17 for this singular occasion will be a fitting tribute to his illustrious career,” as per the official release.
