After reportedly passing medical tests with FC Barcelona, FC Barcelona officially announced the 28-year-old Jabari Parker as the newest member of Roger Grimau’s team, leaving NBA after 8 years.
However, as FC Barcelona stated in a press release, the club and “the player Jabari Parker have reached an agreement for the incorporation of the North American for one season, pending the medical review”.
Playing with the Boston Celtics in the 2021-22 season, Jabari Parker had 4.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game, but never played a single minute in the 2022-23 season. In his 8-year NBA career, the Duke Blue Devils product has been averaging 14.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
The 28-year-old forward was selected with the No.2 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, he spent four years in Wisconsin, moving on to play for the Chicago Bulls, the Washington Wizards, the Atlanta Hawks, the Sacramento Kings, and finally the Boston Celtics.
The Catalan team announced the addition of the former NBA player with a game on its social media platforms and then officially shared the news.
