Dee Bost’s tenure with ASVEL has come to an end as both parties have agreed to terminate his contract ahead of its original expiration in the summer of 2024.
The announcement of this development was made by the Villeurbannais club through a concise press release. Bost’s future destination remains undisclosed at this time.
“An agreement has been reached between Dee Bost and LDLC ASVEL to bring an end to the contract that bound them. The club wishes a good continuation to the American-Bulgarian leader and thanks him for the past season.”
Having joined ASVEL at the start of 2023 as a replacement for Parker Jackson-Cartwright, the American guard made significant contributions to the team’s resurgence in both the Euroleague and the Betclic Elite, the French championship.
Throughout his time with the team, Bost averaged 12.1 points in the French championship and 7.6 points in the Euroleague. Despite his efforts, ASVEL was unable to advance to the final of the French championship playoffs due to the absence of Nando De Colo during this crucial period.
