NBA veteran swingman and former Slam Dunk champion Terrence Ross confirmed that he has received an offer from Partizan Belgrade. Ross has been a free agent after finishing the 2022-23 season with the Phoenix Suns.
“They did offer me. I was like ‘Ah!’ Who knows… who knows,” Ross said during a Twitch stream when asked about “rumors of him coming to Serbia”. While the 32-year-old player didn’t specify the name of the club that made him an offer to come to Serbia, he has been reported to be a target of Partizan. Crvena Zvezda is the only other Serbian team with the capacity to add a name like Ross but the team doesn’t seem to be interested in signing this type of player.
While Ross himself didn’t appear to rule out such a possibility, Partizan seems to have the guard/forward position on its roster well-covered with quality options. James Nunnally renewed his contract with the ABA League champions while the club signed former NBAer Terry Rozier and experienced Polish wing Mateusz Ponitka this summer.
Apart from Rozier, Partizan also acquired NBA big man Frank Kaminsky, bringing him to Europe after eight seasons in the NBA.
Ross, a former 8th overall pick, by the Toronto Raptors in 2012, has career averages of 11.0 points and 2.8 rebounds over 733 appearances in NBA regular season games through 11 years. In 2014, he scored a career-high 51 points as a player of the Raptors in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
In 2013 Ross, won the NBA Slam Dunk contest during the All-Star weekend.
