Monaco’s Donta Hall is officially a citizen of Azerbaijan, getting European player status in the French League, as confirmed by EuroHoops sources.
In the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, he averaged 7.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, being an important factor in helping his team arrive at the 2023 Final Four in Kaunas. In the LNB, won by AS Monaco against Victor Wembanyama’s Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92, he put up 7.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per appearance.
Undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, Donta Hall played both in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, and Orlando Magic, while spending some time in the G-League with the Grand Rapids Drive, the Raptors 905, and the NBA G League Ignite before making the jump overseas.
