Adding to the roster, FC Bayern Munich completed the transfer of Dino Radoncic.
Radoncic, 24, was rumored to reunite with Pablo Laso since early in the offseason. Finally making the move official reminisces playing under the new Bayern play-caller at Real Madrid. In the early stages of his career, he launched his professional career through the promotion from the junior level to the senior team of Los Blancos with Laso in charge. “It motivates me even more,” he commented on working with the 55-year-old tactician.
The Montenegrin forward, born in Germany, penned a contract for the 2023-24 season with an option for an additional season, the team announced Thursday. He is projected to play with Bayern under Laso and also help the second team under head coach Emir Mutapcic.
“I am very happy with the opportunity to play for a big club such as Bayern and at the same time return to the country where I was born,” he said on his move to the team based in Munich.
“I am ready to give 100%, regardless of which team I am on,” he added referring to his dual role at Bayern.
Representing Montenegro in the FIBA World Cup for the second time, he tallied 7.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in Asia this summer. The 2022-23 season at the club level produced 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest for Casademont Zaragoza in Spain’s Liga Endesa.
After parting ways with Laso and Madrid, and being on the EuroLeague championship-winning squad of 2018, later stints went from UCAM Murcia and San Pablo Burgos to Iberostar Tenerife and Acunsa GBC.
