In the past few years, there has been a wide discussion, especially in Greece, about the clubs’ intention to invest in the younger players and give them more playing time. Despite the fact that budgets have significantly dropped, with the financial crisis still keeping on, statistics show that the Greek teams have failed to give their younger players the necessary playing time.
In the following table, you can see the basketball leagues around the world that give the most opportunities to young players. It’s impressive, though, that the Greek Basket League is even lower than the ultra competitive Euroleague, which means that the European clubs are not afraid of giving their young players plenty of playing time.
