Olimpia Milano has provided an update on Billy Baron’s injury status, announcing that the US guard will need to undergo surgery on his right elbow, followed by a six-week rehabilitation period.
The surgery is scheduled for October 9, and Baron will undergo a re-evaluation after the rehabilitation period.
“Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano announces that, following recent checks, the need has emerged for further surgery to clean Billy Baron’s right elbow. The surgery is scheduled for Monday, October 9. A six-week rehabilitation period will follow, at the end of which he will be re-evaluated,” stated the official announcement from the Italian champions.
Baron already underwent a surgical procedure on the same elbow in late June.
Baron has solidified his position as one of Olimpia Milano’s key offensive players since joining in 2022 from Zenit Saint Petersburg. Last season, he averaged 11 points with a 40% shooting accuracy from beyond the arc, playing 30 games in EuroLeague.
