By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

Due to the ongoing conflict in Israel, the match between Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Olimpia Milano at the Mediolanum Forum in EuroLeague Round 2 was suspended.

Maccabi plans to relocate the team to Cyprus and resume action as soon as possible, and now Valencia has announced that it will host Oded Kattash’s side in Round 3, a fixture that was originally supposed to be played in Tel Aviv.

The match on Wednesday, October 18th, changes venue and will be played at La Fonteta at 8:30 p.m. on the same day,” per Valencia‘s official statement.

Since sporting events in Israel are on pause due to the state of emergency caused by the Hamas attack, Maccabi could return to action in La Fonteta, Valencia. It is unknown when the suspended match with Olimpia Milano will be rescheduled.

Venue changed for Hapoel Tel Aviv – Venice match

EuroLeague confirmed the change of venue for the Maccabi – Valencia clash, and also announced that the Round 3 match of BKT EuroCup will be played with Umana Reyer Venice hosting Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv, with the ongoing situation preventing Hapoel from hosting.

The order of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup Round 3 games involving Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv have been switched.

The BKT EuroCup Regular Season Round 3 game between Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv and Umana Reyer Venice, scheduled for October 17, will be played in Venice instead of Tel Aviv, while the Round 12 game will be played in Tel Aviv.

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 3 game between Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Valencia Basket, scheduled for October 18, will be played in Valencia instead of Tel Aviv, while the Round 32 game will be played in Tel Aviv.

This decision has been taken following the terror attacks and onset of armed conflict in Israel,” per the official report.
