Maccabi reportedly without Baldwin until November

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv suffered a blow at the very beginning of the season, with Wade Baldwin dealing with a back strain. The US guard, one of the key players of Oded Kattash’s team, didn’t play a single minute in the EuroLeague this season, and won’t be back until early November, according to Israeli media.

He will reportedly miss the double week and games against Valencia and Panathinaikos, and potentially away games against Monaco and Olimpia Milano.

The clash against Valencia slated for Wednesday had initially been planned for Tel Aviv. However, in light of the ongoing conflict in Israel, the venue was changed. Maccabi now faces a stretch of three consecutive away games, including against Monaco on October 26, holding out hope for a resolution to the conflict in the meantime.

Also, Maccabi is expected to play against Olimpia Milano on October 31 at the Mediolanum Forum. This game was initially scheduled for EuroLeague Round 2 but was rescheduled due to the ongoing situation in Israel.

Baldwin joined Maccabi last season and was one of the best players on the Tel Aviv team, averaging 17.2 points per game.
