Fenerbahce got a big win over Panathinaikos, however in the end there was tension between the two teams seemingly out of nowhere.

There was pushing and shoving in the middle of the court and ultimately former Fenerbahce player Kostas Sloukas left for the locker rooms with the fans of Fenerbahce booing him.

Sloukas, who won the EuroLeague with Fenerbahce back in 2017, seemed to be on the center of the tension, however it all begun with Scottie Wilbekin.

As Wilbekin explained to Eurohoops, he didn’t like the fact that Panathinaikos players gathered after the final buzzer on the center of the court over the Fenerbahce logo.

“They were trying to make their huddle in the middle of the court, right on our team logo. I thought this wasn’t true”, Wilbekin said.

“I always say and believe that our team should be right in the middle. I will do this after every match. We have to be in the middle, put our hands together and make our huddle. They can go anywhere else on the court”.
