Olympiacos lost on the road to Fenerbahce, no comments were made by the Greek team after the game about the calls, however, there’s an official announcement by the club on the issue.
Per the press release: “Olympiacos calls on the EUROLEAGUE to take a clear position on the foul on Nigel Williams Goss in the last play of the match against Fenerbahce.
The incorrect application of the regulations by the referees decided the match against us”.
This is the play for which Olympiacos is protesting when Madar appears to hit the elbow of Williams Goss during his drive to the basket. However, with the game over and no official protest on the scoresheet – which can’t be applied for a call or a non-call – nothing can change.
Here’s the last play of the contest from start to finish.
