Maccabi Tel Aviv is in talks to change the home side of their EuroLeague Round 9 game at Fenerbahce Beko and host the match in Belgrade where the Israeli team has relocated, according to ONE.

Israel’s National Security Council recommended that Maccabi shouldn’t play in Turkey for security reasons and the club is looking to find a solution to the matter. If the Yellows manage to make the swap and instead be the visiting side in the second leg of the regular season, then they will play five straight games in Belgrade from November 9 to 30, facing Bayern Munich, Olympiacos Piraeus, Fenerbahce, Barcelona and ALBA Berlin.

Maccabi also has a postponed home game to play vs, Real Madrid.

Following the October 7 attack by Hamas against Israel, Maccabi left Tel Aviv and temporarily moved to Belgrade to play its home games. They held just their EuroLeague opener in their Menora Mivtachim arena, a win over Partizan Belgrade.

After six rounds into the 2023-24 EuroLeague, Maccabi is 3-2, having registered wins over Olimpia Milano, Panathinaikos Athens and Partizan, while losing to Monaco and Valencia.
