Zeljko Obradovic and Dimitris Itoudis will face each other in another master vs alumn showdown as Partizan Belgrade will host Fenerbahce on November 9 at 20:30 at the Stark Arena, but the yellow-and-blue powerhouse won’t count on several players.
In a statement on its website, the Turkish team shared its injury problems. “Dyshawn Pierre, who suffered a calf injury against Olympiacos, Sertac Sanli, who suffered an ankle injury against Tofas Bursa, Nick Calathes, who suffered a knee injury in the same match, and Marko Guduric, who had knee pain, will not be able to play. Metecan Birsen, whose individual training and treatment process continues, will not be able to play”, Fenerbahce’s official press release stated on the matter.
Moreover, Fenerbahce explained that “The situations of Sertac Şanli, Nick Calathes, and Marko Guduric will be re-evaluated next week”, while Dyshawn Pierre is expected to come back in three to four weeks’ time.
Coming off the controversial 79-77 win over Olympiacos, Fenerbahce is currently second in the EuroLeague standings, tied with Valencia, FC Barcelona, and Virtus Bologna. Partizan Belgrade, instead, suffered the 84-83 away loss against Baskonia and it’s currently 11th with a 2-4 record.
