On November 10 at 20:30 CET, Crvena Zvezda is scheduled to face FC Barcelona on the road, trying to keep up the flow after beating Bayern Munich at home in the EuroLeague Round 6 and standing at a 2-4 record. However, Adam Hanga could miss the game.
As reported by Meridian Sport, the 2016 EuroLeague Best Defender is in doubt for the upcoming game against Roger Grimau’s team, which is second in the EuroLeague standings.
He missed the ABA League derby against Partizan, recovered for the EuroLeague against Bayern, and then left the game against Buducnost, making Crvena Zvezda fans worried. Adam Hanga, who’s currently averaging 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, remains questionable until the very last minute.
Ioannis Sfairopoulos provided an update on him following the win over the Montenegrin team. “He felt discomfort in his knee. I’m not sure what the reason is now for which he feels discomfort”, the Greek head coach commented in the post-game press conference after the ABA League game against Buducnost.
Emerging as a top-level player back in Hungary with Alba Fehérvár, the 34-year-old defensive specialist moved to Manresa in 2011 and started a 12-year career in the ACB with only one year on loan to Scandone Avellino in 2014-15. He played for Baskonia (2013-17), Barcelona (2017-21), and Real Madrid (2021-23) before moving to the red-and-white side of Belgrade.
