Israel’s National Security Council recommended that Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv shouldn’t play their Round 9 EuroLeague match against Fenerbahce in Turkey due to security reasons. The decision was made for the teams to swap venues.

The game will now be played behind closed doors in Belgrade instead of Istanbul, with the contest scheduled for 20:05 local time on Thursday, November 16. This decision aligns with the recommendations of both the Israeli and Turkish governments, as announced by EuroLeague.

Additionally, the previously suspended Round 6 game between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Real Madrid has been rescheduled to take place on November 28, 2023, at 20:05 local time in Belgrade.

As a result, Maccabi will play their next five games at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade, from November 14th to 30th. Notably, they secured a victory over Bayern Munich in their first game in the Serbian capital.

All Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv home games played in their temporary residence in Belgrade will be held behind closed doors until further notice.
