Kendrick Nunn had his best game yet for Panathinaikos scoring 11 points in the win against Virtus Bologna and he said to “Eurohoops Show”, he enjoys the EuroLeague ambience and especially OAKA.
“The atmosphere here at OAKA is similar to that of the NBA playoffs”, said Nunn, who explained how he embraced the role given to him by coach Ergin Ataman: “That was big for me to start in the game by coach Ataman and to bring that energy to the floor. I was aggressive in defense and from there I managed to pick up the pace in the offense. Soon I will be myself”.
With just three games under his belt in the EuroLeague, Nunn was asked when he would be his true self, as his social media handle “nunnbetter” implies.
“You saw a part of me tonight, none better”, he said with a wink, while elaborating further on a more serious note: “The last time I played in an NBA game was in April. I was not present in the preseason and I will slowly start to get into the right shape”.
Having said that, compared to other NBA players who have arrived this summer to the EuroLeague, Nunn seems capable of being a force in the EuroLeague just two weeks into his signing with Panathinaikos.
