Seeking additional roster options, Partizan Mozzart Bet is looking into Yogi Ferrell.
Extending the initial interest in his services, the Belgrade outfit contacted the 30-year-old point guard, according to Serbian outlet Meridian sport.
The former Indiana standout potentially returning to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague would add to his five appearances early in the 2021-22 season as a member of Panathinaikos.
Kevin Punter (leg), Aleksa Avramovic (nose), and Uros Trifunovic (thigh) are currently out for the team coached by Zeljko Obradovic. The lack of backcourt depth surfaced Ferrell as a possible addition to the squad.
The floor general started the 2023-24 season playing in China’s CBA with the Shanghai Sharks. Far from a stranger in the Old Continent, he was a leading member of Cedevita Olimpija in the 7DAYS EuroCup, now sponsored by BKT, at the continental level, in the AdmiralBet ABA League at the regional level, and Slovenia’s Liga Nova KBM at the domestic level. He moved to Ljubljana midway in the 2021-22 season and remained through the 2022-23 season. He was named Finals MVP in 2023 and won the domestic league championship in 2022 and 2023.
Before competing in Europe and most recently in Asia, Ferrell logged 268 appearances in the NBA between the Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, and Brooklyn Nets over the first five campaigns of his professional career. Combining spells at the Salt Lake City Stars and Long Island Nets made his G League experience.
