Anadolu Efes is contending with multiple injuries, with Ante Zizic’s name being added to the list alongside Dogus Ozdemiroglu, Derek Willis, Tibor Pleiss, and Elijah Bryant. Consequently, they have expressed interest in signing Mike Daum from Derthona Basket Tortona, as first reported by Matteo Carniglia.

According to Eurohoops sources, negotiations have progressed to the point of buyout discussions, bringing the 28-year-old power forward’s move to Istanbul closer.

After playing college basketball for South Dakota State from 2015 to 2019, Daum began his professional career in 2019 with the Spanish team Obradoiro. Two seasons later, he moved to Derthona, where he played a part in Tortona’s rise to success, reaching the Legabasket playoff semifinals and participating in the Basketball Champions League last summer.

In his three BCL appearances this season, Daum averaged 12 points and 6.7 rebounds, while the US player is averaging 14.1 points and 7.1 rebounds in the Italian championship.
