In response to a series of injuries, Anadolu Efes has taken proactive measures by securing the services of Mike Daum from Tortona. However, their efforts to fortify the team continue, with Eurohoops sources confirming that the Turkish champions are finalizing a deal with center Daniel Oturu from Merekezefendi.

It is anticipated that Oturu will officially join Erdem Can’s team starting next week and will sign until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old player, chosen as the 33rd pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, boasts experience with both the Los Angeles Clippers and the Chicago Bulls over his two-season NBA and G-League journey.

Oturu made his debut in European basketball this summer with Yukatel Merkezefendi Municipality, leaving a significant mark since the friendly matches. Despite his team facing challenges in achieving anticipated stability, the American center has emerged as one of the most impactful players in the Basketball Super League, showcasing outstanding individual performance.

In the current season, Daniel Oturu has participated in nine matches in the BSL, boasting impressive averages of 20.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.3 steals per game.
