Zalgiris Kaunas forward Arnas Butkevicius will be out for the next two to thee months due to a foot injury, the Lithuanian club announced. Butkevicius was hurt during Zalgiris‘ road win at Olimpia Milano on Thursday (30/12).
In the 2023-24 EuroLeague season so far, Butkevicius 4.6 points and 3.4 rebounds in 21:31 minutes.
Per Zalgiris:
Zalgiris Kaunas will have to do without forward Arnas Butkevicius in the next few weeks. Due to a foot injury, Butkevicius will have to miss 2-3 months of basketball.
The injury was sustained in Thursday’s match against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, which the Lithuanian champions defeated 83-70 on the road.
After returning to Lithuania and undergoing tests, it turned out that Butkevicius will avoid surgery, but the foot will take some time to heal.
On Sunday, Zalgiris will play the Betsafe-LKL Championship match against 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys. Zalgiris newcomer Edmond Sumner will already be registered for this game.
