After suffering a fracture on his left little finger on the 7th of November and almost one month out of action, Panathinaikos‘ Juancho Hernangomez is expected to make his return to the roster in the upcoming home game for the Greek League against PAOK.
As the assistant coach of Panathinaikos, Christos Serelis, said after the game against Real Madrid talking live to NOVA TV: “Juancho is coming back. He has been training for a while, he has done individual practices. Hopefully, next week will be with us for the next EuroLeague game. On Sunday he will get some minutes. And from then on, let them he will be with the team for the difficult games to come”.
The return of the 28-year-old Spanish forward will give much-needed depth to the roster, since he can also play in the “3” position, where Ioannis Papapetrou remains out of action until 2024 due to left knee arthroscopy.
With Hernangomez making his return and only seven non-Greek players permitted to be registered in the Greek league roster, it’s more than possible that Kyle Guy who has fallen out of the rotation will lose his spot.
