Eddie Tavares has been for the last few years the top EuroLeague center and this summer he will be a free agent.
With Panathinaikos trying to get the top players available since last summer – and in some cases, even players who are bound with contracts – Tavares as a free agent is an obvious target.
How Tavares himself, however, would react to such a proposal? Talking to Amerikanos24, Tavares smiled and while admitting he feels great in Madrid, he kept his options open: “You never know, but I have to try to focus on Real Madrid. and try to do my best to help get all the titles. So when the season is over, I got to see everything. I am super happy in Madrid. I can’t say no, but you never know”.
Speaking about Real Madrid, which currently has an 11-1 record and seems a lock for the top spot of the regular season, Tavares added: “I think we should stay humble. We know a loss will come, so we try to do our best. And we know that Greece has two of the best teams in Europe. So we came here to do everything to try and win the game. Now we have one more game for the Spanish league and that is the focus of our attention now”.
