The US swingman Justin Anderson is set to leave Rio Breogan and sign for Valencia Basket, according to Eurohoops sources.
Anderson came to Spain in October, signing with Breogan for his first European experience, and to play in the ACB League and the Basketball Champions League, after being in the NBA since 2015.
He averaged 10.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in his seven performances in the ACB League and 14.8 points with 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in the four BCL matches, helping Breogan advance to the Play-Ins.
That didn’t go unnoticed, and Anderson is on the verge of debuting in the EuroLeague with Valencia, as the club from Fonteta decided to react after the injuries to Victor Claver and Sami Ojeleye.
The 30-year-old spent eight years in the NBA, amassing 242 regular season appearances with the Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Indiana Pacers, averaging 5.3 points and 2.6 rebounds.
UPDATE: On Christmas Eve the club announced the signing with a contract for the next 45 days which can extend until the end of the season.
