Before Nicolò Melli‘s fifth foul with 3:22 minutes to go in the game between Milano and Panathinaikos, nobody got hurt. However, during the friendly battle under the rim to take a crucial possession with the Greek team up ahead by two points (67-65), Mathias Lessort landed roughly on the floor.
As the French couldn’t walk on his own and got carried away to his team’s bench, everybody thought something serious was occurring with his back. In the post-game press conference, Ergin Ataman said no information was available. “He has pain, right now I can’t say anything”, he commented.
Now, after some medical checks, Panathinaikos communicated that the results are clear and there’s no bone injury, feared by the Greek team’s medical staff. He will probably rest in the domestic league action against Promitheas tomorrow, while he’s already preparing for the clash against Crvena Zvezda, his former team and then rivals when he represented Partizan Belgrade.
