In the EuroLeague Round 17, Valencia will visit Bayern Munich on December 28 at 20:30 CET, and for the first time ever the Spanish side will count on the contribution of Justin Anderson, who recently joined the team.

The 30-year-old, in fact, will be part of the team’s rotation. “I’m prepared and excited to play in the EuroLeague. I was looking for the opportunity to prove myself at this level and Valencia Basket has given me that, so I am grateful and excited. I am looking forward to that first game in Munich”, he first commented on the official website of Valencia, which won’t have Semi Ojeleye, Victor Claver, and Damien Inglis as forwards.

He shared how he could be effective. “I want to help the team with intense defense, help the spacing on the court with shooting, and be one more piece in the puzzle of a team that has already achieved some things so far. My concern is that every time I go out on the field I can add to everything I do and never try to subtract”, Justin Anderson added before the game, which won’t see Stefan Jovic and Jared Harper available as well.

Moving to Europe in October, he made an instant impact with Rio Breogan – which has now added Ben McLemore – in the 2023-24 Basketball Champions League Regular Season, averaging 14.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists, bringing the Galician team to the Play-Ins against Pinar Karsiyaka.

Before making his jump overseas, the American small forward played with several NBA teams. Starting his career with the Dallas Mavericks, being selected with the 21st pick in the 2015 Draft, he then represented the Atlanta Hawks, the Brooklyn Nets, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Indiana Pacers as well.
