Ante Zizic signed a contract with Virtus Bologna until the end of the 2025-26 season, the Italian club announced. The 26-year-old center had officially parted ways with Anadolu Efes in which his role was minimized.
Zizic averaged 6.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 15:54 minutes in the 2022-23 EuroLeague, missing almost a month due to a calf injury. Since his return to action, the Croatian big man just spent 4:31 minutes on the court over losses to Bayern Munich, Baskonia, and Fenerbahce Beko.
Efes was Zizic’s second club after returning to Europe from the NBA with Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2020. He had spent three years with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2017 to 2020 following a standout EuroLeague run with Darussafaka.
Having an expiring contract in Efes and the chance to revamp his career in Italy was an easy decision for the Croatian big man.
