Martin Hermannsson could return to ALBA Berlin very soon. As Eurohoops has learned, confirming the information reported by Las Provincias and COPE Valencia, the point guard is negotiating his return to Germany, a departure that has been under discussion since Kevin Pangos joined the Spanish club.
Precisely for a more than likely move to the Berlin team, where he played from 2018 to 2020 before signing with Valencia Basket, the Icelandic point guard agreed to unregister from the EuroLeague.
Thus, Hermannsson could play in the continental competition with another team. If he had not done so, he would not be eligible to compete in Europe with ALBA. Also, the move must be completed before February 7th.
Injuries have been a constant issue for the Icelander since he arrived in Valencia. This season, he has only played seven official games, three in the Liga Endesa (5.3 points and 1.7 assists) and four in the EuroLeague (3 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists).
