Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet defeated Olimpia Milano in the Mediolanum Forum during Round 21 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague but lost one of its most important players to injury.

Nemanja Nedovic suffered a partial rupture of the oblique muscle of the abdominal wall and will be out of action for four weeks, the Belgrade club announced.

Two more players were injured during the win in Milan, as Milos Teodosic slightly strained his hamstring, but it’s expected that he will quickly return to the training process and the court.

Mike Tobey awkwardly fell after spending just 27 seconds on the court, but the severity of his injury is yet to be determined with an MRI.

Losing Nedovic until February is obviously a big blow for Ioannis Sfairopoulos’ team since the Serbian guard was the top scorer of Crvena Zvezda in the EuroLeague this season with an average of 12.9 points per game.

After the victory in Milan, Crvena Zvezda boasts a 9-12 record in the top continental competition, improving its chances to make it to the Top 10 with three wins in back-to-back double weeks.
