Olympiacos Piraeus has suffered a significant setback, with Moustapha Fall sustaining a right knee injury that will keep him out for three weeks.
The tall Frenchman was absent from the Stoiximan Basket League Round 14 game against Kolossos, and the MRI results revealed an osteochondral injury to the medial femoral condyle of his right knee.
As a result, Fall is set to miss the upcoming Greek derby against Panathinaikos in the Basket League (22/01), scheduled to be played at the OAKA Arena, as well as some important EuroLeague matches.
Simultaneously, Filip Petrusev, who also did not play against the Rhodian team due to a muscular spasm in the adductors, followed an individualized program during Tuesday’s (16/1) training. His participation in the upcoming match against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv is considered doubtful.
Fall has played a crucial role in Georgios Bartzokas’ team this season, averaging 7.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 blocks, and a PIR of 14.7 per match in the EuroLeague. Regarding the Serbian center, just last week, he delivered his best performance with the Piraeus team, scoring 14 points with four rebounds in a loss to Baskonia.
