Elie Okobo became eligible for AS Monaco effective immediately.

AS Monaco confirmed his return to the club on Thursday.

Okobo, 26, was temporarily suspended for violating team rules. After sitting out recent games in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and France’s Betclic Elite, he is available to play against Real Madrid tomorrow, Friday. He rejoined the group at the start of the week, as noted by La Roca Team.

During the absence, Bahcesehir Koleji showed interest in securing his services, as reported by Eurohoops. Meanwhile, the team coached by Sasa Obradovic split a two-game week in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague between a home win versus Baskonia and an away loss opposite Panathinaikos Aktor, before prevailing against Paris on the road in Round 19 of France’s Betclic Elite. Standing records at 11-10 at the continental level and 17-1 domestically sit eighth and first, respectively.

Before the suspension, Okobo averaged 10.2 points, 3.2 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.6 steals per EuroLeague contest, plus 12.4 points, 4.2 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per Betclic Elite game. Reinstated, he is now set to resume his third campaign in Europe’s premier club continental competition and sixth in the top-tier division of France.

Coming out of Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez with breakout campaigns including 11 appearances in the FIBA Europe Cup, Okobo was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 31st overall pick of the 2018 NBA draft. Experience in the league based in North America stretched to 108 appearances.
