Once champion with Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2003, Lior Lubin passed away at 46 years old as he couldn’t take down a serious illness he had been dealing with for quite some time.
Friends of current Maccabi Tel Aviv‘s head coach Oded Kattash, serving as an assistant coach in his coaching staff also at Panathinaikos, he played in Israel, Bulgaria, Greece, and Ukraine during his professional career.
As a coach, he led several different Israeli teams like Hapoel Gilboa Galil, Hapoel Holon, Ironi Ness Ziona, and Hapoel Be’er Sheva. He asked to be released from his latest team in November 2023.
