Maccabi Tel Aviv star guard Lorenzo Brown returned to action Sunday (22/1) in an Israeli Winner League game after sitting out the EuroLeague match against Olympiacos Piraeus last week.
Brown scored 18 points but Maccabi lost to Ironi Kiryat Ata 86 – 78 at home, suffering their third straight loss in all competitions. The Yellows came back from 19 points to cut their deficit at four late in the game but couldn’t complete the turnaround.
James Batemon led Kiryat with 29 points.
Maccabi, with Brown now on board, will be hosting Panathinaikos Athens in Belgrade Thursday (25/1) for EuroLeague. The latter will arrive at the game on the back of four straight EuroLeague victories and fresh off a win over archrival Olympiacos Piraeus in the Greek League.
