Olimpia Milano guard Maodo Lo will be out at least for the next two weeks with an ankle sprain, the club announced. Lo was hurt during his team’s EuroLeague win over Real Madrid Thursday (7/2).
Lo will miss the upcoming Final Eight Cup tournament in Italy. If his condition doesn’t keep him out for longer than these two weeks then he will be back in action when Milano returns to EuroLeague against ASVEL Villeurbanne on 1/3.
So far in the 2023-24 EuroLeague, Lo is averaging 7.8 points, 3.1 assists and 2.2 rebounds over 21:02. In December he sustained a thigh injury that kept him out of 10 straight EuroLeague games before he returned in late January.
Milano is tied for the 12th spot at 11-15 in EuroLeague and trying to compete for a spot in the Play-In tournament. The Red Shoes are 13-6 in the Italian League and tied for the third place in the standings.
