In the 20th week of the Turkish Basketball Super League, Anadolu Efes defeated Galatasaray Ekmas but Derek Willis got injured.
According to the official announcement, the US forward broke his nose during the game. It’s not specified how long will former Reyer Venice and Joventut player be out.

Post-match, Dr. Sertan Sahin performed a nasal reduction and applied a splint to Derek. Our team doctor, Ugur Dilicikik, stated that the procedure was successful and reassured us that Derek’s condition would be closely monitored in the ongoing process.

The 28-year-old player already missed a chunk of the season due to injury, and played 17 EuroLeague matches, averaging 8,1 points and 4,4 rebounds. In 11 TBSL matches, Willis averaged 10,7 points and 4,6 rebounds.
