Another problem for Ergin Ataman before the game against the EuroLeague leaders

Following Luca Vildoza, Panathinaikos will be without Kostas Antetokounmpo in the upcoming game against Real Madrid. Antetokounmpo is dealing with a patellar tendon injury sustained during the Greek National Team’s victory against the Netherlands in the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers.

Despite traveling to the Spanish capital, the latest test results have led to his exclusion from the EuroLeague Round 27 matchup against Real Madrid at the WiZink Center.

The 26-year-old center, who typically comes off the bench, could have offered valuable assistance, especially against Real Madrid’s formidable frontline. Additionally, he is expected to miss the game against Kolossos at OAKA for the 19th matchday of the Greek Basket League, and his return will hinge on the results of subsequent tests.

Luca Vildoza is already absent from the Greens roster due to discomfort in his left knee, where he had previously suffered a meniscus tear.

These challenges come at a critical juncture in the EuroLeague. While Real Madrid comfortably holds the top position with a record of 22-4 and faces no immediate concerns, Panathinaikos sits in third place (16-10), sharing the spot with Monaco and Fenerbahce. The team is set to navigate a particularly demanding schedule in the remaining regular-season games.
