You can dream of a great first EuroLeague season, but it probably won’t be as great as Codi Miller-McIntyre’s first EuroLeague season.
Recording the 4th-ever triple-double in the history of the competition and becoming the player with the most assists (20) shared in a single game, the 29-year-old American-Bulgarian playmaker has now reached another significant milestone.
Ending the night against ALBA Berlin with the 6th double-double of his rookie season, contributing to Baskonia‘s 88-71 victory with 14 points and 10 assists, Codi Miller-McIntyre has now become the fastest player to reach 200 assists in EuroLeague history.
The former Gaziantep and Partizan Belgrade player has needed only 28 games to reach this amount of decisive passes, while last year’s Baskonia point guard Darius Thompson needed 31 encounters in the competition.
Being close to retirement before eventually joining the Basque side in the summer, Codi Miller-McIntyre has been living an outstanding EuroLeague season by averaging a competition-high 7.4 assists per game.
