After Monaco’s Mike James achieved the milestone of becoming the all-time leading EuroLeague scorer in his 10th season in the top European competition, his historic accomplishment drew attention in the USA and the NBA.
Commenting on James’ achievement and his dominance in European basketball, James Harden acknowledged his talent.
“He’s got game. He was my teammate in Brooklyn… Mike has done a really good job over his career when things didn’t work out in the NBA; he didn’t put his head down. He continued to work. As a result, he’s got the most buckets overseas. Shoutout to him for staying with it, staying consistent,” Harden said.
They previously played together at the Brooklyn Nets, during which Monaco’s star averaged 7.7 points and 4.2 assists in 13 regular-season games and made nine playoff appearances in the 2021 NBA playoffs.
