After getting elbowed in the game between Crvena Zvezda and Maccabi Tel Aviv by Bonzie Colson, Brazilian guard Yago Dos Santos suffered a fracture and a concussion. As his club announced, he will stay in hospital due to precautionary reasons and he may need surgery.
Per the press release: “KK Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet informs the public that our player Yago Dos Santos suffered a fracture of the anterior wall of the frontal sinus, as well as a minor concussion, as a result of an elbow hit by an opposing player in the forehead.
After an urgent diagnosis and examination by a neurosurgeon and an ENT specialist, Yago Dos Santos was kept in the Zemun Hospital for observation during the night.
This type of injury usually requires operative treatment which is under consideration.
