Explaining how things turned around from last season to now in the EuroLeague with Virtus Bologna, Iffe Lundberg stopped by in the latest episode of the EurohooPOD with Antonis Stroggylakis and Cesare Milanti.
The Danish guard, who joined the Italian black-and-white team after a short stint in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns, showed completely different things from his first to his second season in Bologna, becoming one of the most clutch players in the EuroLeague.
Becoming a free agent this upcoming summer, he was asked how he would consider an offer to extend his contract with Luca Banchi’s team. “I would definitely entertain it”, Iffe Lundberg first replied about potentially staying in Bologna.
“I like it in Bologna. I like the fact that this is a basketball city and my family likes it here. If everything falls into place and everything is in order then I’d definitely entertain it”, he added. However, he doesn’t think too far ahead in the future. “To be honest with you, I don’t think about an extension or a signing. I’m living in the moment”, he said.
Deciding late in the games with Milan, Barcelona, Bayern Munich at home, and twice against Partizan Belgrade, he has been averaging 9.0 points per game. “I want to help the team get as far as possible. My goal is trying to win the championship. I don’t want any distractions in my head”, he said.
