Needing a must-win at 20:45 CET against ASVEL to keep hoping for a spot in the EuroLeague Play-Ins, Valencia won’t have Kevin Pangos on board for the clash against the French team, 17th in the standings with a 7-25 record.
Joining the Spanish team midway through the season, the Canadian point guard has struggled to leave his mark on Alex Mumbru’s side, after failing to do the same with Milan. In 12 total appearances with Valencia in the EuroLeague, he has been averaging 1.9 points and 2.3 assists per game.
The Valencian club is currently 14th in the standings on a 14-18 record, tied with Zalgiris Kaunas, Partizan Belgrade, and Kevin Pangos’ former team Milan. Anadolu Efes, 10th in the standings and in the Play-In zone, is at 15-17. After ASVEL, Valencia will lastly face Partizan in Belgrade in Round 34.
