Maccabi Tel Aviv relocates from Belgrade Arena to Aleksandar Nikolic Hall

According to Walla Sport, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, which hosts two of its home EuroLeague games at the Belgrade Arena, will move back to the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in the Serbian capital for the Panathinaikos Playoff series.

The Tel Aviv team is currently training at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall and has played 15 of their home EuroLeague games there this season due to ongoing conflicts in Israel.

Oded Kattash’s squad moved to the Belgrade Arena for matches against Olimpia Milano in the regular season and a clash against Baskonia in the EuroLeague Play-ins but is now returning to the previous location.

The Israelis are expected to have fans on their side after requesting an increase in the allowed number of spectators. The exact number has not yet been confirmed; however, Maccabi is making efforts to ensure the presence of 1000 fans.

Maccabi had a great record playing at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, winning 11 out of their 15 matches there.

Currently, they are leading 1-0 in the EuroLeague Playoffs after defeating Panathinaikos at OAKA Arena at the start of the series and are set to host the Athens club at least once in Belgrade.
